Amanda Kai Harpist

In 2008, she made her world debut as the featured harpist aboard Cunard's Queen Mary 2 luxury ocean liner, where she appeared during Trans-Atlantic and Caribbean cruises. Two years later, Amanda expanded her international audience by performing a series of concerts in Tokyo, Japan, sponsored by Converge Worldwide and the Aoyama Harp Company. Ms. Kai has appeared in concert with such notable artists as Josh Groban and the all-male operatic group Il Divo. She has also recorded works with up-and-coming singers and songwriters Ricky Berger and Gail Everett. In addition to her performing career, Ms. Kai also teaches private harp lessons . Amanda's Harp Amanda performs on a concert-grand Aoyama Vega pedal harp. The 46-string instrument stands 6 feet tall, weighs 73 lbs., and is constructed of maple wood with a light brown finish.. Handmade in Japan, the harp is elegantly adorned with wood carvings and gold detail. The extended soundboard amplifies the rich sounds. The seven pedals at the base connect with rods through the column to the strings, allowing for easy key changes and greater technical capacity than a lever harp. The pedal harp is an excellent instrument for large settings, where greater sound capacity is required.Amanda's Vega, affectionately nicknamed "Keiko" (Japanese for "adored one") is a mini "celebrity". The harp was used for the saloon scene in the 2011 western film "The Legend of Hell's Gate".

Amanda Kai (formerly Woosley) is a resident of Austin and has enjoyed
playing the harp since 1995. She has played professionally at many different
venues in the Central Texas area including weddings, receptions, high tea
parties, real estate open houses, holiday parties, church events, birthdays,
and anniversaries.

Her extensive repertoire includes classical music, pop hits, jazz & broadway
favorites, traditional & contemporary wedding music, movie themes,
inspirational music, and many international styles.

Amanda performed for three seasons with the Cinematic Symphony
(formerly the Austin Wind Symphony), under the direction of Patrick
Phillips. The ensemble performs several concerts per year, with an exclusive
repertoire of television and film scores.

"Music Makes the Event"

I cannot recommend Amanda highly enough. The music she provided for our daughter's wedding was simply beautiful and made the event extra
special. Amanda was accompanied by Becky Montgomery on the violin and Katie Neans as a vocalist. They were all perfect, professional, and
delightful. We really appreciated the guidance Amanda gave us in selecting the ceremony music. We would have been lost without her.

"Beautiful and Professional Harpist"

Amanda was not only talented but professional and dependable throughout the process from the contract to the day of. She even went as far to ask
the colors of the wedding and dressed in our color blue. We had an outdoor wedding and having a harpist was perfect for the setting. She allowed us
to choose from a variety of pieces and offered to learn new songs if we wanted. Highly recommend.

"Beautiful Ceremony Music"

Amanda played at our ceremony, and her music was beautiful. My guests told me they enjoyed having her there, and that she was very good. Before
the wedding, I didn't have concrete ideas on what songs to use. We met with Amanda, and she was able to help us pick them out. She even had a
Chinese song she could play since my family was Chinese. Overall, we're happy we picked Amanda to play at our wedding!

"Amanda Woosley Harpist Amazing at Our Wedding"

Amanda's talent playing the harp during our wedding added a touch of elegance we were looking for. We had many wonderful comments from our

pricing is very competitive in the area and more than reasonable. We knew at that moment that she was the one to play during our ceremony. We
highly recommend Amanda!

"Wonderful Harpist"

Amanda played for my daughter's wedding at Green Pastures last Saturday evening. From the first time we met with her, she was a true professional.
She arrived on time in a purple dress(one of my daughter's wedding colors) which really pleased us. She played all the songs we had chosen and did
a beautiful job of providing our guests with a soothing prelude to the ceremony.
