Check out what folks are saying!

Thanks a million to Cover Down band for helping us realize our vision of an unforgettable wedding reception on Saturday, September 26, 2015. Our top priorities were GREAT live music and happy guests who were dancing and having fun all night—and that’s exactly what we got! Coupled with the endless compliments from our guests, we simply can’t recommend them highly enough. The band was the perfect combination of talent, sophistication, and fun. With a long year of planning and the wedding now behind us, we’ve had a chance to reflect on everything we did and everything we spent. We can say with absolute certainty that this was the best money we spent and that we’d hire Cover Down again without hesitation. Our point of contact, Mike, was so professional, accommodating to special requests, and a joy to work with in helping make our dream reception a reality. Even though we really loved what we saw and heard when we previewed the band at a public performance, we still couldn’t have fully imagined how incredibly essential they would be to creating the perfect vibe and energy we wanted to achieve. So if you want to guarantee that you’ll have great music and dancing guests, do yourself a favor and hire this band!!

“THANK YOU!!!!! Cover Down was absolutely amazing! I sent out a survey to all the guests (720) asking for feedback about the event – the #1 comment….”The band was awesome!” I cannot tell you how many emails I have received, comments the night of that were made – all about how incredible the band was. I can’t thank you enough for coming to Tulsa to play for our event. With that said…I would LOVE to have Cover Down play again next year. The event will be at the same venue (Exchange Center at Expo Square), Saturday, February 6, 2016. Please let me know what I need to do to make that happen. Thank you so much. Liz” – 2/26/15

“First let me say that I would hire Cover Down again and again and again if I needed to. They were excellent. Great band that kept everyone on the dance floor all night. We had our wedding on New Year’s Eve and there was a lot going on but the band kept cool and made it memorable. It is always hard to put total trust in someone you have met a couple times to pull off the biggest day of your life, but they were awesome.

Pros: Great Band – they can play any genre, they are tight with their transitions, take several classic songs and extend them so the crowd could keep dancing (I noticed this several times). Best Value you will find in Dallas for sure – I’m not exactly sure how much they cost, but I will tell you that they were lower than most other bands we checked out. They handle their own bookings so you are not paying for any agent fees, they also have all their own equipment and do not charge you to use it. It is just a simple flat fee. They are attractive and look young – I’ve been to weddings where the 60 year old wedding singer had to take a bathroom break every 10 minutes or the creepy old bassist kept trying to hit on the wedding party. Proven fact that if you look good, people will think you sound better. They don’t really need to but they do!

Stage presence (off stage presence) – they’re not up there playing air guitar, or making fools of themselves. They own the stage with confidence and personality. They do not babble on in between songs, except if they are giving an announcement ‘after this song, we’re going to do the cake cutting.’ During random songs, they have different members come out into the crowd and play/dance with the crowd. Some pretty good footage of me playing air saxophone next to their saxophonist on one such occasion, I really get into it. Their bassist spins his hair during some 80’s hair metal cover. It’s great.

Communicate with you regularly throughout the booking process and event. We were getting married New Year’s Eve. We met with Mike to review plans the weekend after Thanksgiving. They were responding to emails and questions over Christmas time. I felt really bad about these timings, but due to our hectic schedules this was the only time we had to meet and they never complained once about it. In fact Mike invited us to his home and offered us glasses of wine as his family was getting ready to go to some holiday event. Top notch.

“The Cover Down Band made our party. Michael and Danny were very accommodating! They were great and made it a perfect event!!!

“Our experience with Cover Down was incredible. We knew they were great, but their performance and energy far surpassed our expectations. Our dance floor was full the entire night, and no one wanted to leave. We are still getting so many compliments on Cover Down, everyone loved them! They are very accommodating and easy to work with. I would recommend them for any event. Andrew M.” – 5/17/14

“Sat Dec 7th 2013. Worst Ice Storm in Dallas for 2013. They still showed up and MADE IT HAPPEN! Amazing performance! Esti. B” – 12/7/13
