Jennifer Perryman ‘s sound has been described as “a mix of Annie Lennox meets Sade”, as her music embraces elements of pop, jazz, R&B and dance to form a unique and soul-wrenching style. Although she has recently delved into an original release Jennifer brings new energy to old classics as well.

Jennifer is classically trained, studying piano for 13 years and voice for four. She received her degree in Jazz Studies from the University of North Texas in 1994. During her time in college, Jennifer sang soprano in the Dallas Symphony Chorus.  She has worked as a vocalist with many Dallas and Regional Dance Bands.  Jennifer was a member and vocalist with the University of North Texas Jazz Singers; a featured vocalist with the Frank Heye Project; and a guest performer with the Unified Jazz Ensemble (a jazz quintet funded by the National Endowment for the Arts). All of these experiences contributed to the development of the musical style that is uniquely Jennifer. After college, Jennifer spent a year as a featured entertainer aboard the SS Independence (American Hawaii Cruises). Upon returning to Dallas in 1996, she continued to expand her musical horizons by performing as vocalist with different local bands including Frontline, The Groove Poets and Icehouse, as well as appearances on local TV programs such as Good Morning Texas. Jennifer’s current CD contains 10 songs that form a surprisingly rich and enjoyable tapestry of vocals and instrumentation that will leave the listener mesmerized.
