“Everyone has an invisible sign hanging from their neck saying, make me feel important. Never forget this message when working with people.” Mary Kay

This missive was embedded in our mind as we set out to design and produce general session performances that would take place over three days for each of four separate conventions held consecutively over a two-week period for Mary Kay Seminar, in 2019  at the Dallas Convention Center in Texas.

It’s the company’s largest annual event and it’s a huge undertaking. As part of the creative team we dug in to figure out how we make this the best Seminar that Mary Kay has ever had.

To cover the 4,000 square feet of stage we were asked to choreograph 10 custom numbers. What we created utilized 111 cast members from all over the USA, 500+ costumes, 175 interactive props, 10 backstage staff, 40 performances, 1000 hours of rehearsals, 32,000 attendees and 1 custom Scottish tartan.

From the opening production number, surprise product reveals to celebrations and inspirational pieces, every moment of the entertainment was strategically designed and produced to reflect the brand, celebrate success and motivate its top salespeople.
