Carlos Sanchez was born in Mexico City where he grew up until he moved to San Antonio TX.  He started his musical journey at the age of 15 by attending a Fine Arts School where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Music and later on enrolled in the “Estudio de Arte Guitarristico” (“The Art of the Guitar” Academy) where he earned his Masters Degree in Classical Guitar under the direction of well known Guitarist from Argentina, Manuel Lopez Ramos.

Since then, Carlos’ musical career has seen many recitals all over Mexico, individually as well as being a part of different ensembles like the “Manuel M Ponce” Guitar Duo which he was a part of for almost 6 years and “Tierra Nuestra” which was a group of musicians dedicated to researching and performing native music from Mexico as well as Central and South America. Besides having taught in several private schools and music academies in Mexico, He has also privately taught many students over the years some of which went on to pursue Music as their career.
Carlos recently participated in the making of a movie entitled “La Tragedia de Macario” by composing and performing all of the music for the film which has earned a place in the well known “Sundance Festival”. Also in 2009 him and his wife created “Stand By Them” which is a volunteer group, dedicated to raising funds for orphanages in Latin America.
