Light Painting is a new media performance art invented by Matéo. It’s defining cutting edge live performance Art at its best, where the artist is painting Live with digitally projected light! With this innovative new technique of painting, Matéo can paint live on a person, a building, a sculpture or a waterfall.
This performance has been booked on some of the most extravagant productions in the world, collaborating on projects with Cirque du Soleil, Virgin, Starwood Hotel’s, Montreal Museum of Art, MGM Mirage Events, etc…
Mateo M uses people and buildings as the canvas upon which the art is created. This live performance is truly unique and produces a one of a kind experience. Light Painting can be tailored to any theme – including Brand images to be used for Marketing, Media, Corporate & Private events, Trade shows, and can also be produced as a permanent art installation.
The assistant will place the participant in front of the projector, she will explain to them that its important not to move during the performance. In less than 8 minutes Mateo is performing on them a beautiful and original art piece, with or without video elements. Of course, since he is drawing on them with light, they can’t move for those few minutes. A photographer will take a ‘souvenir’ photo or video: the only trace of this performing art.
Afterwards, they can download it from our site or have a photo printed and signed by the artist on site so they can leave the event with a one of a kind souvenir!
