Renderglow is a dynamic, interactive musical group based out of Orlando, Florida that combines elements of funk, pop, reggae, latin, jazz and dance into an intoxicating brew that is funky and fresh. Founder Greg Little plays trumpet, sings and incorporates the rare EVI (Electric Valve Instrument) while Chris Davis on Keyboards and vocals utilizes the classic vocoder in surprisingly creative ways. Add some funky bass & drums and you’ve got a compelling new sound.
The group was born in the Summer of 2012. “I received a call to play the Grand Bohemian in downtown Orlando.’ As Little recalls ‘They said they didn’t want jazz and had been using DJs. As a jazz lover, I thought Yikes! So I hired some groove monsters. We started off playing simple grooves and let the music take us places and songs started to evolve. We were playing from our different influences and what came out was fresh, groovy and accessible. It was a whole new direction.”
Since then, Renderglow has done club and corporate work. They opened the Walt Disney Food and Wine Classic. They’ve had a Friday night gig at the Disney Dolphin Resort since the beginning of 2015. With the eventual goal of playing the international music festivals; Renderglow continues to craft and refine it’s signature originals and freshly rendered covers.
