ENTERTAINER, PIANIST, SINGER, COMPOSER, RECORDING ARTIST
This versatile entertainer and performer has appeared on national television, in concert halls, major hotels and supper clubs around the world. His travels have taken him to Asia, Australia, the Philippines, and to most every major city in the U.S.A.
Steve relocated from Seattle, via US Army bands, to Dallas in 1970, attending the University of North TX (North TX State). There he participated in the lab band program and toured with Patti Page, The Four Lads, Connie Francis, and Jane Oliver. Steve has shared the stage with Bob Hope, Doc Sevrenson, Skitch Henderson, Johnny Smith, and more. Steve performed for the Royal Family of Monaco at the 1984 Princess Grace Foundation Awards, sharing the stage with Frank Sinatra, Cary Grant, Burt Lancaster, Kirk Douglas, and Rob Lowe.
Mr. Stroud works extensively in the Dallas/Ft Worth area. Some of his more high profile clients include: The Dallas Petroleum Club, Dallas World Trade Center, The Dallas Design Center, The Hilton Anatole Hotel, Adam’s Mark Hotel (now a Sheraton Hotel), Dallas Country Club, Bent Tree Country Club, Royal Oaks Country Club and Shady Oaks Country Club in Ft. Worth. As well as performing in all the major nightclubs and cabarets, Steve has also performed, in concert, for The Dallas Women’s Club, The Dallas Chamber of Commerce and with various symphonic ensembles throughout the U.S.
Steve was voted, “Best of the Best” in “D Magazine”.
Originally from Seattle, Steve attended Olympic College, majoring in performance music and music education. After a 3-year commitment to the US Army, where he performed and toured with various army bands, Steve finished his education at University of North TX, while establishing himself as a performing artist, touring with various artists, working the local music scene and teaching privately. In 1981, Steve founded “Reflections Productions,” a self-promoting production company. You may have heard Steve perform at the Anatole Hotel.
After a 17-year career there, performing and booking entertainment for the hotel, he is currently performing at the Dallas Petroleum Club, Bent Tree Country Club, Dallas Country Club, Royal Oaks Country Club, Four Seasons Resort and Spa, Hilton Anatole Hotel and Phil Romano’s flag ship restaurant, Nick and Sam’s Streak and Seafood House.
Along with his evening performance itinerary, Steve is also currently on staff at St. Andrews Academy Of Music and teaches privately out of his home studio.
