The custom Shadow Dance production for ArtPrize 2009 was a 15 minute performance that brought images and messages from the art community to life. This event is an art competition and there were a lot of contemporary artists involved and whose works were all being judged by the Grand Rapids, Michigan community. (All competing for a $250,000 Grand Prize) we styled this production in a neo-contemporary platform.
Art forms were created that will includes words and images tied together with dance movements as the common thread creating transitory patterns that culminated into icons from the Grand Rapids area and some of the art installations from the ArtPrize event.
The result- a standing ovation and an audience that talked about this performance for days!
