Dallas-Fort Worth saxophonist and jazz musician Justin Pierce began his musical career in the musically diverse region of the Texas-Louisiana Gulf Coast. There, he began saxophone studies at age 12, and discovered a passion for jazz in the middle school jazz ensemble. Since that time, he has performed across the United States and internationally, earned degrees in both classical and jazz styles, and taught at the secondary and college levels.

Justin holds a Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A.) in Saxophone Performance and a Master of Music (M.M) in Jazz Studies from the University of North Texas. While at UNT, Justin performed as a member of the One O’Clock, Two O’Clock, and Latin Jazz Lab Bands, recording as lead alto saxophonist on Lab 2012 and Two Twos. As an active musician, he leads The Justin Pierce Jazz Group, which performs regularly in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
