The Texas Bluesmen are a Blues Brothers tribute based in Dallas, recognized by the creators and managing partners of the Blues Brothers and by Live Nation. The show carries the whole arc of the material: the Saturday Night Live origins in the seventies, both films, and the shows Dan Aykroyd and Jim Belushi still perform today. It is a full live production, not a track show.
Tom “Bones” Malone, an original member of The Blues Brothers, plays in the band. The group has also shared the stage with Aykroyd and Belushi themselves.
Book the configuration that fits your room and your budget. The seven piece works a ballroom or a club stage cleanly. The nine piece adds horn weight for a general session, an outdoor stage or a large audience. Either way it is live musicians playing the music, with the energy and the comedy timing the material is known for.
The band owns both replica Bluesmobiles, one from each film. They are a genuine arrival moment: park them at the entrance for guest photos, stage them in a ballroom foyer, or run them as the reveal that opens the evening. Very few tribute acts anywhere can offer this, and it turns a band booking into an event feature.
The set list runs past a hundred songs: the Blues Brothers catalog alongside Wilson Pickett, Aretha Franklin, Sam and Dave, B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Ray Charles. That range covers a cocktail hour and a packed dance floor from the same band.
Considering other tribute acts for your program? Compare Le Freak for disco and funk or Graceland Ninjaz for a different high energy take.
Tell us the room, the guest count and whether you want the Bluesmobiles on site, and we will size the band to match. The Texas Bluesmen are based in Dallas and available across Texas and beyond.
