In March of 2008 the Topcats celebrated twenty-five years together, rockin’ and rollin’, day in and day out! The band has been very fortunate to be able to make a living doing what they love while staying together for the past two and a half decades. As bands come and go, this is a major accomplishment!
The Topcats feel that versatility is the key to their success. They work full time, more so than most local bands in any area of the US, and they attribute this to the fact that they can cover virtually any type of gig. From weddings to night clubs, from conventions to concerts, they have played them all, and they will tell you that it boils down to versatility, reliability, and experience!
In January of 2009, The Topcats were chosen Best Local Band in New Orleans Magazine’s “New Orleans’ Best” reader’s poll! This is a huge honor for The Topcats. New Orleans Magazine is one of New Orleans’ oldest and most prestigious magazines, and The Topcats are extremely proud of their selection.
